1973 - a big year for Martin. And my mum.

The same year Martin Cooper gave birth to the first mobile phone, mum gave birth to me. We came into this world about the same size and weight and according to mum, we both changed the world. One thing's for sure, over the years we've become better communicators and a whole load smarter.

Today I'm passionate about connecting brands with people, but when I was a kid my parents were nomads so I had no friends. That's when words became my besties.

In 1996, when I was set a copy test from a top agency, those friendly words came in handy - 'best copy test they'd ever seen' apparently. And so began my first writing job.

Today with 23 years experience, below the line, above the line, through the line and round the bend (and nearly 40 awards under my belt) I can safely say, I could sell a telephone to a trappist monk if you need me to.

And talking of telephones, if you fancy a little natter then give us a call on my very smart 'i-telephone'. It'd be nice to hear your voice.
